A Death Has Occurred
A death has occured and everything is changed. We are painfully aware that life can never the same again, that yesterday is over, that relationships once rich have ended.
But there is another way to look upon this truth. If life now went on the same, without the presence of the one who died, we could only conclude that the life we remember made no contribution, filled no space, meant nothing.
The fact that this person left behind a place that cannot be filled is a high tribute to this individual.
Life can be the same after a trinket has been lost, but never after the loss of a treasure.
How it started
Our journey began in 2011
Our family has experienced the loss of loved ones and with each passing us all feeling different emotions. The feelings we experience after death are very personal and can reflect upon the relationship we shared with the deceased.
But, it was the devastating loss of our beautiful boy James in 2011 that started a new journey for us. James was only 10 years old when he left this earth, fighting a courageous battle with cancer spanning 8 years. James was an inspiration to all who knew him.
James will forever be in our hearts.
And so came...
Saying Farewell
Sometimes grief can make the simplest task feel really hard to do. You want to grieve and be there for family and friends but you’re in a whirlwind of emotions. You need to get everything organised for the funeral so you can say farewell to your loved one in the way they deserve.
You want to design a service that is exactly the way you want to say goodbye to your love one and celebrate their life.
And so came our vision for Saying Farewell. A website to offer tools and ideas to create a beautiful and unique final goodbye.
